10 days all run together sorry
For some reason, paragraph's do not want to work on this blog for me. It's been 10 days since I posted anything. Even my brother has noticed! It's been busy or relaxing since the first of the year. I wanted to relax the last few days before we had to go back to school, other than getting all the Christmas decorations cleaned up and put away. But the front door still has it's wreath on it. I did not do the outside decorations, but I suppose it will be me that changes the front door decoration. I just don't seem to remember it unless I'm driving away and I look back at the house and yell at myself under my breath. Monday was raining and cold, and back to school. While I only got paid for 2 hours, I was at school all day. Monday after my 2 hours at the girls' dance studio, I had an errand to do for PTO and my book club. Tuesday and Wednesday was not rainy, but I was at school all day. Wednesday night was also bible study night. P had to work, so not only did I have to make dinner, and make the house presentable, I had to plan something to study. Yesterday, P let me sleep in, I did not have to do anything at school until I went to work at 1. But last night was our quarterly PTO meeting (the board meets monthly, but we only hold parent meetings 3 times a year). Today I was at school all day again, but I got paid for the whole day! (I covered a special ed aid shift). This may not seem like a lot, but also in all my spare time, I have been working on the yearbook. I spent 15-20 hours on it during break, and all this week, when I had a chance. I have some fine toning to do, but have all the pictures now! I will have the first 64 pages that are due on the 21st done hopefully by next Thursday. The program we are using is web based, the server will be terrible next weekend, with all the schools trying to get their pages done on time. I think they should stagger when the pages are due, it wouldn't be so bad. Oh, I remembered I organized a food donation drive for a really needy family at Sunrise. This makes it seem like I did a lot, but really I was just the brains of this project so to speak. Other than a few emails to staff and a phone call to the family that's all I did. The response was tremendous. I'm thinking up a project to keep the donations coming it, and the be able to put food boxes together all the time. We have lots of families that could be blessed by a surprise box. I'm thinking if we make it a raffle, and have it go home as a raffle prize then parents will not be embarrassed by the donation. I'm excited. I hope I can share with the principal my vision and she OK's it. So far the staff that I've talked to about thinks it a wonderful idea.
