Why is it when you envision something it rarely turns out the way you see it in you mind? This was J's cake I made for his birthday. I didn't know I was going to need 2 cake mixes for my pan, so I had to run to Fry's after I realized that mistake. The cakes raised too high, so I had to trim them both down. I used candy melts to make the "liner" only it broke when I tried to put the cake inside of it. Luckily the cake didn't split too, or I think I would have gotten so mad, I would have thrown the whole mess in the trash. I couldn't believe it took so long to make something to easy.
